Ice Day

My office was closed until 10AM today, but it was clear by 8AM that I wasn’t going anywhere. The snow partially melted yesterday and then refroze overnight into a slippery, icy mess. Some people are leaving my apartment complex, but I’ve sat at the window and watched cars and trucks lose traction and slide dangerously close to my car, and it doesn’t give me hope that driving conditions are safe out there. Plus, according to viewers on WRAL, people are sliding all over the place, down hills, etc.–why not just stay home? I was off this Friday anyway, so I can go in and work some then to make up for not being in today. It all works out.

I had some water and a lemon Larabar for breakfast, but I didn’t take a picture because lemon Larabars all look the same. Instead, enjoy this video of Heath in the snow.
